By downloading, installing, or using Dottie Desktop ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

2. Description of Service

Dottie Desktop is an AI voice assistant for macOS that provides voice dictation, AI chat, agent mode, memory, and text-to-speech capabilities. The Software can operate locally or connect to third-party AI providers using your own API keys.

3. License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software for personal or commercial purposes. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software except as permitted by law.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for any API keys you provide and the costs associated with third-party services. You agree not to use the Software for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.

5. Privacy

When using local models, your data stays on your device. When using cloud providers, data is sent to those providers under their respective privacy policies. See our Privacy Policy for details.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Dottie or its developers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Software.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Software constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
